Last week Cranbrook Safer Neighbourhood Team, assisted by colleagues from Valentines and Newbury Wards, carried out a proactive weapon sweep as part of Operation Reckoning. Officers conducted a thorough search of the Redbridge underpass and surrounding areas, checking bushes, pathways, concealed locations, and other areas where weapons or harmful items could potentially be hidden. These proactive operations form part of our ongoing commitment to tackling violence, preventing crime, and keeping our communities safe. Regular weapon sweeps help remove opportunities for weapons to be concealed and provide reassurance to residents who use these public spaces every day.
